"Have it bad"? Are you referring to some sort of precieved "hang-up" that you think I have on STAR WARS?

I'll have you know, good sir, that I have no obsessions, "hang-ups", preoccupations, or needs pertaining to STAR WARS.

This is all just a hobby... a... mild diversion for me... Yes! That's all.

A full-size Landspeeder has never even been a consideration for my collection since I'm still trying to reserve space for a full-sized AT-AT.

Now, I know it would be SO easy to fall into the trap of labeling me a STAR WARS geek ("It's a trap!!!!"), but honestly there is SO much more to who I am.

Mark Hamill himself once said that to me when I met him at a convention and challeneged him to a lightsaber duel while dressed in my Darth Vader outfit.

Besides, just because I own lots of STAR WARS toys, doesn't mean I'm some sort of George Lucas fool. After all, as Obi-Wan Kenobi once said, "Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?"

No, the fact is I'm not a geek at all! I'm simply a well-adjusted, 40 year old married man who just happens to dress like Darth Vader occasionally, and has a room full of toys. I'm actually a pretty hip, slick, cool and groovy dude.

I do not blame you for holding out for the full sized AT-AT vs the Landspeeder. That would be awesome. I wouldn't mind having one of those (full size AT-AT's myself) Makes traffic worries a thing of the past. I am not so sure that it would be all that great on gas mileage though. And of course getting the gas nozzle "up there" for a fill up could be real challenge. Then again who cares about gas prices when you are towering high above the rest of the world.

There once was a Trek Shuttlecraft on eBay that went for under 10K.

Now I could personally go for one of those.

Believe it or not, I CARRIED mine all the way from the home of the New Jersey Resident who sold it to me to the nearest Railway station. I carried it like a sack in an enormous clear plastic bag with the radar dish and two guns inside. The station was about eight city blocks away.

I would take short rests, pick it up and haul it some more, etc.

Once at the station I boarded a New Jersey transit train to New York City. I stood in the vestibule of the train for the entire 45 minute ride, holding the ship upright on its edge against the wall.

After we arrived in NYC, I carried the ship to the nearest subway station, (about 4 city blocks) and boarded the train to my home in Brooklyn.

The station entrance was about 1-1/2 blocks from my door.

Needless to say, there were some strange stares from folks as they watched me carry a ship as tall as me all around town.

I even got one cash offer on the way home from one guy who must have been a fan. Naturally, I refused.

Now "Millie" (as my wife and I affectionately call her) is a proud addition to my collection.

That is a cool story. After all of your efforts to get her home safe I would not have taken any offer for her either. The great story alone is worth the price of keeping her. At first thought I could not imagine the above story unfolding like that in today's time. You would have probably have been tackled before you made it to the Railway station with all of the security these days. Then on the other hand if the security is as lax as some of the airports shown on the news these days you may not have been tackled or even stopped. You may have just walked right on like you did in your original story with just only a couple of stares. In any event I am glad that it was a positive ending. I am glad to hear that "Millie" made it home safe and sound.

I remember seeing those Falcon's hanging up in the local TRU stores as well. I had never thought to inquire on them at that time. What was I thinking? I guess I was thinking of the logistics as to how it would fit in the car (it wouldn't) and where would I put it once I obtained it.

If the car you drive happens to be a landspeeder by chance THEN I think you may have a bit of a problem. Otherwise, you seem perfectly fine to me.

Attic

The house we own has a pretty crappy designed attic. The last time i checked there was blown insulation everywhere, burns the crap out of my lungs. I know we some Scorpions up there ( I live in Nevada ) and possibly our ghost hides there. Thats about all.

i dont have anything in my attic(since i dont have one, i guess)..but when i lived at home with my dad, i had all of my 80's joe stuff..boxes and boxes and boxes of it...and comics...but nothing like you all have...WOW!!!
