Forum issues - please read!

Joe and the support team have been working diligently the past several days to restore functionality to the site. Please clear your caches and report any remaining issues in this thread. We appreciate everyone's patience as we work through the fallout of this latest update.

Ive been reading people having problems, but to tell U the truth havent noticed a single thing, and Im pretty much logged on , and have a peek 24H, from Poland with love....

I, too, have had no real issues with the site to speak of with the exception of an occasional missing avatar, but it eventually comes back so it's no biggie to me...

Just got word from MIB41 (Tom) that the site is not allowing him to log in and I told him I'd pass that on to you guys.

The only issue/difference I've noticed is that forums always look "unread." In the past, when I click on a forum, unless there is a new post, it will not be "bold" when I visit the forums again. Now, unless I read ALL of the threads, new and old, it stays unread/bold.

performance is top-notch and fast. I do see what others say bout the un-read posts - maybe it was wrong before when I would view a forum; hit a couple threads of interest...leave forum, come back and all the unread items on that forum were no longer bold. It's just the opposite now.

Zilch for me. I can't stay logged in, check PMs, see updates, pix, or avatars. I've cleaned cache sand cookies repeatedly. I cannot reply to threads except wit quotes, and then fitfully. When I'm navigating, I get logged out or told I've failed some sort of security check.

I had to do that too. As I said in the other thread,every time I go to a different section of the Museum,the colors keep changing.

The read/unread thing is a function of vBulletin changing how they keep track of that information. It used to be kept in cookies, and now it's in the database itself, which is ultimately better and more secure. That said, there will be issues as it's switched over. Always try to remember to be logged in when reading the forum. Your accounts should catch up to the new method quickly.

The clicking the "stay signed in" box is also a new function of the database storage, I believe.

I'm doing my best to fix whatever issues remain. I appreciate everyone's patience.
