Now, I know what those guys are called. I'm sure they were out in full force this past week. It was HOT...it's still HOT!

By the way, it must be nice to get door to door service.

No, it actually got annoying over time.

The paleteros started knocking on the door on a daily basis, and not only one, many.

But I recently told them that had to stop...and eventually most did, except a couple of clueless dead brains...I just don't bother opening the door anymore.

One time, I bought 20 paletas from one guy, thinking that would reason enough for him not to knock on my door for a while.

Well, he was banging on my door the very next day!

I told him, yo man, the reason I bought you 20 is so you can leave me alone for a couple of weeks, not to come back the very next day and expect me to buy some more.

I still had 18 friggin' paletas, lol.

I know those dudes must sell paletas, but come on now, lol.

No ice trucks but there is an ice cream factory (Walls) about 1/4 of a mile away from where i live,i worked there about 10 years ago,you could just take a whole box of ice cream products off the production lines and eat it but only on the premises

                  ICE CREAM HEAVEN

Oakland is the headquarters of Dryers/Edy's Ice Cream.

They no longer offer tours though.
