Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
Lo they do call me.
They bid me take my place among them.

HATE IT!! cant win no matter who i play against..and there are some really bad winners in my circle..if you know what i mean....although, i am good at star wars trivia pursuit, i usually win at that...
Only ever play it on the computer now(Star Wars edition)...as it always seems to be a good idea to get it out until the arguements start....and don't get me started on Trivial pursuit.....
ENGLISH AND DAMN PROUD OF IT British by birth....English by the grace of God. Yes Jamie...it is big isn't it....
I have a few versions of it but i actually love playing the computer version of it......Favorite game to play when I have alot of family and friends over the house and we play house Ghetto rules..
I've never liked Monopoly much. When I was a kid, I remember my family playing late into the night, only to wake up the next morning to find the board set up in the living room, waiting to be finished. But I could never get into it. I find that I like Monopoly Jr. w/ my kids better. Once we kept a game going for almost 2 hours, and one kid practically owing everyone his first born son!

I used to play Monopoly as a child, but we never finished a game by driving someone into financial ruin. We'd usually end it by going home to Supper, or the rain would stop and we'd break up the game to go outside and play.
I bought one of the customized Monopoly games a few years back -- Dogopoly...
Exact same rules as Monopoly, just with a bit of a canine twist. I sat down and played my wife for the very first time. I sort'a get the feeling she might have been a board tipper back in the day...

The game Monopoly is a great game if:
You want to find a reason to stop talking to all of your relative's
1. Have you ever been involved in a Monopoly Feud ??
2. What tolken do you choose ?
3. What property do you gun for ?
(I know different world boards)
4. Do you Cheat...?
5. Do you use your own rules ?
Absolutely LOVE it! Too bad that others do not like to play the game because it is so long to finish at times. This is one of my favorite board games.
1. Definitely, probably a few in the past.
2. The Car
3. Board Walk and Park Place
4. I may have a time or two before when I was a little kid. I do not do that any more though when I play these days.
5. Not really. I go by the old Monopoly standard rules.
Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. (C) Azrak 2009
I had a mom like MegoCrazy who didn't believe in letting me win no matter how young I was and would kick the snot out of me in everything from Checkers, Monopoly, Etc. Rules....I learned them as I went along and was never given a free ride for not knowing.
I don't know if I agree that this was in my best interest. I am competitive which isn't necessarily a bad thing but it can be a hinderance too because it is difficult for me to play a game "just for fun".
Now when I play my kids, I will not play 100% unless they are good enough to beat me so I level the playing field by playing 50% or whatever I need to do to make it challenging and fun for them and give them a reasonable chance at winning vs. me just beating them.
I like Monopoly but don't love it and yes, I have had family feuds over games. I have a younger brother who is less than 2 years younger than I am and we really go at it in any kind of board game to the point where my brother will not budge on Trivial Pursuit answers when you have given a correct response but not the exact response as on the card which makes it no fun.
