I hate DMV!

Its website is not allowing online plates orders. I submitted my bank card, my sister's card, nothing. I called, they told me to not use my iPad...and try a different browser...I used the desktop, laptop, Safari, Firefox, Chrome...nothing...argh...

Anyway, after pulling what's left of my hair...I just printed their PDF application, made a $50 check payable to DMV...and it's done.

In the physical application...you are allowed to list three requests, from favorite to least, 1-3...

1. AL1EN
2. M577APC
3. SULACCO

I'm really hoping AL1EN is still available by the time my application gets there. Placing a 1 instead of the already taken I was a brilliant move on my part... ...amazing that combination is still there...and it works pretty well too...



I want that one sooo bad, lol.

I'll be disappointed if it's gone...but the next two choices are pretty cool too.

Yeah, AL1EN is a clever way to get it. If it's taken, you could always try AL1ENS or AL13N, which most ALIEN fans immediately recognize. Or ALE E N unless you can't have spaces....

Yeah, AL1EN is available, shocked, as my fellow geek motorists have taken all kinds of clever combinations themselves, lol.

I do love M577APC too, it just fits my truck beautifully.

I filled out the application, but have not mailed it yet.

Well, the DMV turned down my first choice...AL1EN. I have no idea why, as it's still available through their website. Perhaps because of immigration events happening now...maybe they interpreted as such. Pretty silly if that was the case, lol. I did specify what it meant...the 1979 ALIEN movie starring Sigourney Weaver.

Anyway, I'm not bummed out at all...because my second choice was accepted...M577APC...the Armored Personal Carrier transporting the Colonial Marines in Aliens...and it fits my truck better...so now my ride is the awesome M577APC...yeah...it's big time Alien geek time...



I also just bought this off eBay...



But maybe be this would be more appropriate since my truck is now the APC...



I think either one works.

Gotta wait 8 weeks for them...inmates at San Quentin will be making them...
