As I stated before, I've found that some elastic waist pants have more room for "junk in the front". Built in for those men who actually try to contain their gut in their pants, and don't wear a pair 4 times too small, and cover their belt up with a belly flap.

Now I can't read this thread without hearing "Ballroom Blitz".

Yeah, this has been my experience, too - especially if they're pleated. They're just cut more generously.

        Success, gen-tull-men!

Finally found some trousers that actually fit well, give "the boys" the room they need and are pretty nice looking to boot! Checked Bass Pro and they were a bust, so I tried Cabalas and they had a nice selection of different kinds of khakis and chinos and I found some that fit the bill. I may still order a pair from Duluth Trading Company just to see if theirs are any better, but at least the ones from Cabala are a start....!

BTW, E2C, while I was in the dressing room trying on the various trousers, what song should come on but "Ballroom Blitz" Karma, baby, karma!

sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

If you are looking for work pants try UNIQLO - I love their Slim Fit Chinos. $39.99 and they have khaki, grey, blue, etc. I have a tough time finding good pants and these are really great for me. I used to wear slacks...now all I wear are these

Duluth Trading - probably online only for you, but very easy to work with. Their stuff isn't cheap, but A) they ALWAYS have a sale going and B) it's well-made stuff that holds up nice

I would particularly encourage you to look at their "Ballroom Jeans." I'm sure they're called that because you can dance in them.

EDIT: Their "Middle Management" chinos fit the bill on your pleated khaki needs as well.

Also, anything with the word "Armachillo" is amazing (actually, it's polarizing, but I love the stuff).
