What a great ride they've had up until yesterday. If the Steelers were to falter, I wanted the Raiders to represent the AFC. Chances of that happening now are slim & none....and slim's outta' town.
You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.
This is without question the most bittersweet season I've experienced in 36 years of rooting for the Silver & Black. 12-3 record, the first playoff berth in 14 years, and our MVP candidate quarterback suffers a broken fibula. They have little or no chance to represent the AFC now.
Bad break for the Raiders, I was hoping to see them make the playoffs and go deep, that is until they played the Patriots.
I will say this, beware of Eli Manning, only made the playoffs twice in his career but never lost, and beat my Pats twice in the SB, he's a different type of QB in the playoffs. Cowboys are playing great but not to many of their players have
much playoff experience, but home field advantage might just get them there, question is...can the Giants beat them for
a third time? they seem to be the Cowboys kryptonite. 5 rings for Tom Brady, GO PATRIOTS!
I don't see anybody beating the Patriots this season in the AFC, only Chiefs and Steelers have a chance of that imo.
The Super Bowl winner will come from the NFC . So many great teams Cowboys, Falcons, Lions, Packers, Giants, Seahawks .
Tough break for the Raiders though, they have been down for soo long and now this happens.
The Lions are hardly a great team...but I'll be rooting for them against the Cowboys today...hopefully they can somehow pull out the upset. The Giants are definitely a threat...but they can be inconsistent...but they are my dark horse, beat the Cowboys twice...and are the Patriots worst nightmare. The Packers are my second favorite NFC team after the Niners...and Rodgers is a stud. Falcons are high flying, but I'm not quite sold on them. The Seahawks can beat anybody on any given Sunday...but the loss of Marshawn Lynch, therefore lack of a running game...is going to doom them.
On the AFC side, well, we know my Raiders are in a world of hurt. The Chiefs are super dangerous, but Alex Smith is not a comeback type of QB, so they better not be behind in any of the playoffs...but if the game is close, watch out...they could go very far. Not sold on the Steelers...they seem to struggle even on their wins.
Anyway...I hate both the Patriots and the Cowboys...I don't want either of them in the Super Bowl....but it looks like that might be the scenario...god...I hope not...
went thru this 3 weeks ago with my Phins... sucks but you never know bro.. Remember that from the ashes of Bledsoe Brady emerged
Matt McGloin is a mystery to me, I have no idea how he's going to fare...but he has that dominant offensive line, statistically second only to the Cowboys...and has a friggin great core of receivers...so we shall see...but let's not kid ourselves...McGloin ain't no Derek Carr. Plus, the Raiders weakest aspect are their secondary...they are average at best. Even with Carr...I wasn't too sure they were going to reach the Super Bowl...I still think they are one year away...watch out for the Raiders next year...just get a bit better with their cornerbacks. Oh, and Khalil Mack is a beast.
Raiders getting spanked by non playoff bound Broncos...backup QB McGloin hurt...third stringer QB Connor Cook in the game now...this is not looking good...
