I work with some guys who play in a recording studio in Asheville, NC. The drummer played on Willie Nelson's last album and the engineer pulled him aside at one moment and took him to an old locked cabinet. He pulled out a vintage mic and said " This is the mic that Gene Autrey and band recorded Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on". He said it was like looking at a sacred relic.
