In my area Childworld was the store to go to, I didn't start seeing Toys R Us stores until the early 80's

I was never allowed to go to a TRU, (mainly b/c they were too far away), but I loved watching this commercial after school during the Christmas season. It just gives you that Christmas feeling you had when you were a kid. Ahh, memories....."Do you believe, you believe in magic?

I remember the commercial too. It's a classic. But like many others here I didn't get to go to one until years later. First time I was stepped in a TRU as a kid it just blew my mind. I was like whoa.You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

This is my favorite Christmas commercial of all time. What a catchy tune! The TOYS R US time of YEAR. . . Tooys rrr uuuuusss.If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.Comment
