Meh,.. I still don't have a BlueRay,.. Nore will buy One,.. atleast not at this time. I can enjoy My simple DVD's just fine,.. & to Know I picked up the DVD Movie for 4.50 ,.. would make me worried for how much they want for this,.. if I had a BlueRay player..... I do wonder if this will open the door to the complete season though.

Is there any reason for this? Video quality is equal the the weakest link. The movie was not shot or preserved in a manner that would make having it in Hi Def with any more than having it on VHS.

This movie was shot on film, which has a higher resolution than Blu-ray does (in theory, as film doesn't have actual lines of resolution per se). And how do you know how well the film was preserved? The DVD looked pretty nice, so Fox's print should be fine. If Fox made a proper 2K or 4K high res transfer of the film, it could look really nice on Blu-ray, especially a film so colourful as this one is.

I don't know the current status of the TV series, it all depends on Fox and Warner working out their differences, and I haven't heard of that happening yet. Until they agree, the TV series won't happen.

I just got the movie on VHS from Ebay. That's good enough for me.

If they digitaly re-master and fix all the scratches ect on the master could be worth it.
I have the standard DVD it is worth it just for the commentary track by Adam West and Burt Ward (very funny). Hope they keep that on the Blu-ray.

Fox has been pretty bad about porting over the extras from DVD to Blu-ray, most of their BDs are bare bones, but the commentary track wouldn't take too much effort (it's usually the one extra they do port over sometimes) and the West/Ward one is definitely an entertaining one. I really hope they can do a good job on this, the colours in this film should absolutely pop in HD.

I'm pretty happy with my DVD of this movie, as unimpressive as it is compared to most episodes of the TV show from which it sprang. I have no need to see Adam West's pores on Blu-Ray, thank you very much.
