Captain Marvel Serial Coming to Blu-Ray

    http://www.blu-ray.com/news/?id=20365

I've never seen it myself, and now this will give me an excuse. I've heard a lot of good things about this being one of the very best serials ever made.

^Same here. I kept waiting for the DVD set to go on sale, but never caught it low enough to take a chance on it.

Oh, Kino is a very famous company for classic film releases, this is in good hands. I'm sure there's restoration involved, and special features are possible, depends on the release. I've never seen this serial either.

lol yeah i get it ,thats why i said include a colorized version ,not just put out the colorized version ,best of both worlds lol

would be great to have the option to see tom tyler in comic book colors after watching it for around 30 years in black and white ,borrowed a full super 8 version ,had it played on a small sheet on a wall and filmed with a early video camera
                it was magical
and so worth all the trouble

I'm a big fan of 70's Shazam. Does TV really get any better than this ?

Awesome news, now I can finally retire my worn out VHS! Now if they would also do the Phantom serial on Blu-Ray, that would make my year!
