    Advice on South Dakota

Anyone live there or have an opinion? I may be relocating to Sioux Falls for a job. Any info is appreciated!

I've visited the state (Black Hills area) and thought it was pretty cool... I would never rule out living there... (Some might mention the cold winters, but I live in an area with cold, snowy winters anyway, so it wouldn't be much of a change for me climate-wise...)

Most thing I remember about South Dakota was walking into a diner in Custer and everybody's head turned to stare at me (whole time I was there)

      Gave me the willies bigtime.

I just got back from Sioux Falls and was pretty impressed. If anyone has any personal experience, I'd love to hear it.

My wife's Aunt has lived out there for many years in Sioux Falls and is still there. We've never visited but would like to. She always speaks highly of the area, although they do get buried underneath a lot of snow.

Have never been there, but would love to visit sometime just to experience the relative wide-openness of it compared to most cities and towns in the east/Midwest and south. In my younger days, living there would probably have been ideal as I am something of a hermit in the first place, but with the onset of age comes a dread of the snow and cold and, from what I understand, they do get it in spades up there (case in point, the current temp up there now according to The Weather Channel is a balmy 7 degrees with a lovely wind-chill of -10)...
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.
