Deadly Oakland fire at Artists Warehouse Club Party

The concert, described in some reports as a holiday party for the 100% Silk label, was scheduled to include performances by techno electronica bands Golden Donna, Cherushii and Nackt as part of the label’s West Coast tour...

The fire believed to have killed at least 24 people in an Oakland warehouse on Friday night occurred at a concert featuring artists on a Los Angeles-based label called 100% Silk.

Don't know how many dead...but it looks like it's going to be high.

Eerie...I drive through there all the time...as Fruitvale Blvd. connects Oakland to Alameda.

    Terrible...

    RIP

I'm going to drive through there when all is clear...try and take a couple of pictures, but obviously not now...it would be disrespectful...and the scene is a madhouse right now...blocked traffic, firefighters, ambulances, coroner, etc...

Tragic. At least some of the folks on the missing list are being located, having escaped. We know at least one artist who's in the hospital and are awaiting additional info from his family.

very sad. i was watching news reports this morning. the were saying 9 dead, more than 2 dozen still missing. sadly, I am sure they will find some of those poor souls in the debris.
