    RIP Fritz Weaver

His passing didn't get much attention what with Castro and Mrs Brady going at the same time but it should be noted.

Museum folks would know him from Twilight Zone (he did good ones in both the classic series and the 80s remake), the TV Martian Chronicles mini and of course, he opens the crate in Creepshow.

    90 is a good life.

He appeared on stage in such productions as 'Child's Play' and the musical 'Baker Street' (as Sherlock Holmes) and in the films 'Fail-Safe' and 'The Day of the Dolphin.'

Agreed. He was a great character actor. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.

His voice was pure gold, and it was the best feature he had.

Really nice to see this posted here, thanks Brian. His work in Creepshow totally sells the Crate. If an actor isn't afraid of a puppet monster in a Crate, the audience won't be convinced. Fritz Weaver was superb in the role. I raise my glass.
