I'm sorry, you're correct. I had only read about it and had the series' name confused with the later police show. what makes it more confusing is there were two series called the protectors one from the 60s one from the 70s.the british tv series of the 60s/early 70s all had similar sounding names the protectors, the persuaders, the professionals, the champions, the baron, the avengers, the sweeney, the adventurer,Comment

I guess I liked him because it seemed like he wasn't totally on their side. At any moment he could turn and then they'd be back to how they were. But that's just me.Comment

He was so great in Superman III, Battle Beyond the Stars, The Magnificent Seven, The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and so many more movies and TV shows.
R.I.P.

Hustle doesn't get the credit it deserves, but it was "show zero" that started the UK TV rebirth. I think because it was the first original programming on AMC, not enough people saw it.
Vaughn was fantastic. Loved that guy on a number of shows.
I didn't realize until this past week that Wayne Rogers had passed last New Years. That was crushing.Comment

Rest in peace Mr. Vaughn, thanks for all the memories.“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment
