Come on guys.... The mummy is cool. If you want a stupid movie monster, look at Night Of The Lepus.

I know I'm in the vast, vast minority here, but I will never understand the appeal of zombies. They do nothing for me as monsters. Lurching, brainless things that are just ammunition fodder. I tried watching The Walking Dead, and I just couldn't get into it. Same thing with all the other zombie movies outside of Zombieland, which was awesome in spite of the zombies, and Night of the Living Dead, which had something interesting to say.

The mass majority of 80s Slashers do nothing for me.

To each his own but personally I never really considered slashers or even slasher/mutants monsters.

This would be everything from Jason, to Myers to Texas Chainsaw family.

BTW, i'm not a fan of the slasher genre BUT, I do like Wolf Creek.

If you haven't seen it, you gotta give it a shot.

A part of me will always like Freddy, because I was the right age to appreciate his one-liners. I enjoyed watching the Friday the 13th films with my buddies, just to laugh at them, but Jason is the dullard of all the slashers, in my opinion. I could do without him, even though his visual is striking.

I hate Jason probably most of all slashers because he doesn't really have much of an agenda other than killing everyone in sight.

Even Jaws (the ultimate killing machine) killed because he wanted to eat people.

and Rob Zombies Rejects loved killing because it was fun.

Jason is just a human Terminator - which get's old very quickly

zombie. Doesn't even deserve to be capitalized.

Almost all the Modern Slasher Movies...

I can almost 'forgive' Freddy Kruger because at least they attempted to add an element of 'Fantasy' to the Character.

Other then that...I hate them ALL.

If you're talking about strictly classics...It's the Mummy...the Poor-Man's Zombie.
Everyone is Entitled to MY Opinion...Your's, not so much!

^I've always been a huge Mummy fan. I love the whole ancient Egypt/curse aspect, and there's something really, really creepy about a 4,000 year old dried out corpse coming back to life.

The thing about the Mummy is...it never stops. You have to rest, eat, sleep...it doesn't. It will just keep coming for you no matter what. If you want to see a REALLY scary Mummy, check out the Tales from the Darkside movie...the segment "Lot 249"

That's what that dude deserved for bringing a tennis racket to the battle...

But yeah, that was a scary cool mummy...
