Love so many. Dad bought the 1st Atari with Pong and that was awesome till the arcade games came out. For me it was:
    1. Pac-Man- Had the fever, read the book,s and got to the keys! My old memory it's I either got to 7th or 14 key they just kept repeating!I know at the end I could make a quarter last for 35-45 minutes!
    2. Donkey Kong!!!! ARGH!!!! ARGH!!!
    3. Asteroids!!!!!!!
    4.Ms. Pac-Man
    5. Joust/Dargon's Lair

Later during College and later it was:
1.Double Dragon just fun to play with friends. If you don't kill your friend during final round you both die and the girl runs off with another guy!
    2. Cliff Hanger(Lupin III)
    3. Snow Brothers, fun to play at our local comic shop on Saturdays!
    4. Space Ace
    5. Mortal Combat

Really tough picking just five. Honestly due to age and lack of nearby arcades most of the time, I spent more time playing my 2600 at home more than anything. But when I did get the pleasure of playing a proper arcade game, I think my standouts would be:

    1. Centipede
    2. TRON
    3. Star Wars (loved sitting in that thing pretending to be Luke haha)
    4. Mrs. Pac-Man
    5. Frogger

It still burrns me that Nintendo has not released the arcade versions of DK/Punch out while pretty much everyone else has released emulations of their games at least once.
The Wii version of Punch-Out! comes pretty close to the arcade version. I thought Donkey Kong was released on the NES?

I forgot Lunar Lander. Good game. My Dad or Grandfather (don't remember which) played that one, too.

Tough to name just 5, but the ones I played most in arcades included:

    Scramble
    Donkey Kong
    Pac-Man
    Galaxian
    Lock n' Chase

    Also:

    Brerzerk
    Tempest
    Battlezone
    Zaxxon
    Targ

And here's one they should have made.

    1. Superman (this is the one arcade game I'd love to have in my house!)
    2. Excitebike (a local pizza joint had a table top version)
    3. Operation: Wolf (in hindsight, pretty violent, but I liked it back then. The mounted machine gun drew me in)
    4. Rolling Thunder (not the best game, but it was in the lobby at Wal-Mart, which meant I got many chances to play it)
    5. X-Men (I can still hear Wolverine saying "BESERKER RAGE!")
