I tried to buy some spray paint yesterday, so I could paint some toys.
They told me it would take a little while, because they needed to copy my identification, and log all the colors and brands of paint I wanted.
I told them "No".
Okay, so why would they want to keep track of what paint I buy? Are they out there doing chemical tests on all the graffiti around the city? Hell no! Is it some kind of intimidation tactic to scare the people doing graffiti, so they think they could get busted for tagging? I was offended, even if it is a Portland ordinance. It's beyond invasive, and I'll buy my paint in another city. Why do they really want the information?
