Met Denny Laine last night

Denny was playing at Daryl's House last night. I had never been there but it is owned by Daryl Hall from Hall & Oates. I bought table seating figuring we would get better seats. well we were front and center. he talked to us during his warm up and then after the show came out to meet and greet everyone. Really a nice guy. Put on a great show too. Played the entire Band on the Run album before going into some covers, a new song from an album he is putting out and some of his own classics.

Yep. Unfortunately it was the same day as NYCC. Trust me, If I knew I had to stand on the will call for my tickets for almost 2 hours...I would have ditched the con and gone to the show some how some way. Very cool that the show was great and you actually got the chance to meet and talk with him. I've missed him at all the Beatlefests he's done in the NYC/Metro area.

he mentioned that he is thinking about doing more tours where he plays an entire Wings album. that would be cool, would love to see him do Venus and Mars
