I grew up in a traditional religious household in Canada. I was not allowed to watch John Byner's "Bizarre", *but*...the one episode I recall sneaking to see had a Super Dave skit parodying Dolly Parton's " 9 to 5". I still recall having seen this; I came across it recently because I like Dolly's music, & she was just in Toronto at the Molson Amphitheatre this past Saturday night. Great memories!

I grew up on Bizarre, I was surprised to find out there is a dirty version.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

You're right, even though it was filmed fifteen minutes from where I live, Canadians only seem to have gotten the clean version (maybe the pay channels played the blue one, i don't know) where the nudity was obscured and the swears were covered by a bull horn (which I think is funnier).
It was a co-production of Showtime and the infamous Glen Warren (who also did "The Star Lost" and "The Little-lest Hobo"). The cast was a "who's who" of Toronto talent, I guess even Mike Meyers was on it. One of the cast members owned a car wash near my work in the 90s, he was a total knob to me when I mentioned Bizarre.
Super Dave is brother to Albert Brooks BTW.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

Yeah, I grew up with the censored version on Canadian television, so it was an eye opening experience when I first saw it on Showtime when we got a satellite dish. I think the censored swearing with the horn is much funnier too (but seeing boobies on the Showtime version was nice).Comment

Bob Einstein is brilliant in everything I've ever seen him in. He was always the funniest performer on Bizarre, and he's great in Curb Your Enthusiasm as well.
