I used to think that Billy Joel was singing: She's a wazy woman to me. (instead of: she's always a woman to me)
In the Chicago song "Hard To Say I'm Sorry," I thought that Peter Cetera was singing: After all the hooey we've been through, I will make it up to you. (he was singing: After all that we've been through, I will make it up to you.)

Oh Yeah... Peter Cetera sings that line so funny. I never did know what he was trying to sing. How does he turn the word "we" into a three syllable word....I used to think that Billy Joel was singing: She's a wazy woman to me. (instead of: she's always a woman to me)
In the Chicago song "Hard To Say I'm Sorry," I thought that Peter Cetera was singing: After all the hooey we've been through, I will make it up to you. (he was singing: After all that we've been through, I will make it up to you.)

The theme for Flashdance....instead of "take your passion and make it happen" I thought it was "take your pants down, and make it happen".......I thought it was the dirtiest song ever.....You will always be your child's favorite toy. ~Vicki LanskyComment

I dare not tell you what lyrics I used to get wrong. I used to hear nonsense words that don't even exist, lol.
ZZ Top - Sharp Dressed Man is one that springs to mind. I can't spell what I used to hear, let alone say what.Comment

Yep, a very strangely arranged song.
Suffragette City by David Bowie
