    Soundtrack stores

I was wondering, which stores in the US still offer a decent selection of original soundtracks?
I mean actual stores, not internet, and with a decent selection I mean "not High School Musical" and such, more like Jerry Goldsmith and John Williams. Stuff like expanded scores, 2CD sets with unreleased material, etc.

We used to have two stores that really aimed at the serious collector, but those have been gone for years now.

I don't think many stores like that even exist in the states anymore. you could try Barnes and Noble

Sadly, I cannot remember the last time I bought a soundtrack (99% of my music listening) in a brick and mortar store. It's all from moviemusic.com, screenarchivesentertainment.com, intrada, la-la land, Varese, etc.

Amoeba. Nirvana for the vinyl fanatic. The store on Sunset is truly amazing. Blue Meanie is going to have his ashes spread in the Beatles aisle. They sell online too.

                    Amoebe looks great!
I know I'm a dinosaur, but I still prefer checking things out "in person". The experience of being in an actual store. Who knows, in ten years that may be a thing of the past...

Yep, same thing for me. I have about 600 soundtracks now, and it's my prefered listening experience. Just leave me on a deserted island with the Jerry Goldsmith collection!
