    Allergies! I hate 'em!

There's a patch of woods behind my house and this past weekend I did a lot of work outside. My head, nose and throat have been killing me for the past couple of days. Anyone else beat down with allergies?

Mine are the worst in the fall ...

One bit of advise --- don't go crazy with the nose spray ...

Too much will burn a hole in your nose (I kid you not- it happened to me)

ive suffered with hay fever the last few years, never once suffered from it before that, strange. this month the pollen count has been real high, lots of people have problems.

other allergies ive had for over 15 years now (coming of age) the doctors called it lol... i have i.b.s, i wont go into the details of that, if you dont know you dont need to, basicly i got food allergies, worst of all is the dairy products... thats a killer

im also allergic to plasters... you know the cut your finger type... yeah crazy i know

Somehow my allergies are not so bad this year and it's almost summertime, when my allergies are done. I don't get it. I have only taken five allergy pills since the beginning of spring, mostly as a preventative when I knew I would be outdoors for a prolonged period of time. I must be getting old??? Whatever it is I am glad that my allergies have not been beating me to submission as it usually does. I have suffered every spring since elementary school....

I feel for ya. Even with allergy shots the last 2 weeks have been bad for me.

I think all the rain we had has made the pollen thatmuch worse this spring

Mine just hit me yesterday. Scratchy throat, sniffling, blowing my nose. I hate this.

Jessica, mine have been pretty mild too, thankfully. One bad spell a couple weeks ago and that's it. Must be something different in the Bay Are this year. We had a fairly dry winter.

I'm not allergic to anything and never have been. So nothing bothers me no matter the time of year. Sorry.

But I feel your pain. My wife is allergic to almost everything outside.

I only acquired allergies as an adult. I don't know exactly what it is but I get the itchy eyes and a severe headache. Since it doesn't hit me all of the time, I only take a Claritin when necessary but usually have to deal with a dull headache for a few days until the allergy medication kicks in full gear.

Funny because I've never had allergies until the last couple of years and it only bothers me if I'm really out in it for a while. There's tons of honeysuckle, bushes and locust trees all over near my backyard.

I guess I'm moving to the East Bay. All the people I know who have allergies here are experiencing the worst. My allergies seem bad compared to previous years.

I've been going nuts with them this spring! Problem is I've found most medications for them cause my body to go into somekind of weird defensive mode, and I put on weight and retain water at an insane level.
I used to get shots, but even that quit working. I've been trying some naturapathic stuff the last couple years...it works, but only for a short time.

Anybody got any other solutions that works for them?
