    RIP Kenny Baker/R2D2

    Just saw this on Facebook:

    https://www.theguardian.com/film/201...dies-star-wars

Had the honor and pleasure to meet Kenny back in early 2000's. Such a nice and genuine person. Probably the nicest of the group from the "Behind The Mask Tour" that was going on at the time...the other being Jeremy Bulloch/Boba Fett. RIP Kenny...

Sad. I really loved him in Time Bandits along with Jack Purvis, my two favorite characters in the film.

Just came across some photos of him and his wife when we met them at Motor City Con back in the late 90s. Very nice guy. I nearly ran over him coming out of a restroom, and he was even extremely friendly then. RIP.

He will be missed but the memories he helped create will last lifetimes.

He may have been a little man, but he leaves behind a gigantic void...and an equally gigantic legacy.

                RIP Kenny Baker

Sad news, RIP Mr. Baker. I remember when I was a kid and the first film just came out, I thought both Artoo and even Threepio were real robots (not for long though).
