    Me as Frankenstein!

I found these old pics today from 2005...I thought they were lost.

These were from the Cuyahoga County Fair.

Anybody that's met me knows I'm a big dude. Six foot four and 320 lbs. In costume I was seven and a half feet tall.

I custom painted the mask, had the entire suit custom tailored, and did my own makeup on my hands and arms, complete with metal clamp. I also made a custom pair of boots. You can really get a sense of how big I was in the second photo. The guy in the picture was loving it. He said Karloff had terrified him as a kid.

That's awesome and authentic. You'd blend right in walking around Universal Studios (they probably don't allow that though just like Disney prohibits cosplay.)

Sadly, no...I used the outfit for about five years and eventually got tired of it. It was very cumbersome and hard to walk around in the six inch lifts. I donated it to a local haunted attraction several years ago. I think they ended up using it on a mannequin.

Man, that is wicked. You would have been an imposing figure walking around at your natural size plus six inch boots!

To weather the jacket I remember we bunched it up, tied it to the trailer hitch on my wife's Blazer and drove down a dirt road for about five miles. It looked amazing.

Just how in the world does a big old boy like you, even make such wonderful models? I'm small, I'm closer to my work. Why am I not better than you?

Holy mother of pearl! I've been off the grid cause I'm on vacation right now, so I missed this thread. I'll just pick my jaw up off the floor. I've long wanted to do this costume. Now I see I'll never get to this level. You just nailed it!

Let me try to understand. Is it a full mask you painted or did you do makeup appliances?

Reminds me of going to visit the House of Frankenstein wax museums in Lake George and Niagara Falls where they'd have a guy in costume outside to make kids like me wet my pants.

When I get home from vacation I'll try to post my (inferior) pics of my Mummy and Wolf Man costumes. Maybe my Dracula too. There's a reason I haven't done Frankenstein, and I hope everyone appreciates how hard you must've worked to achieve this. I salute you, Sir!
