Are you going to watch fireworks tonight?

Wished I could, but we are having a small BBQ/grilling gathering at home (as we speak, but I'm always carrying my iPad, lol)...our mom has dementia...and fireworks would bother her...so we can't go...

But we live on a hill...and we can catch a little glimpse of the real high fireworks on the Bay from our backyard, not much, but some...which is cool...

This is such a great time of the year! Always loved me some "4th of July" since I was a wee lad and witnessed all the Bicentennial doings and whatnot. I'm a small town guy and while it has lost some of the luster due to my age and perspective (and maybe becoming a little passe' in the culture-at-large), it is still a pretty wonderful day to me.

We ended up not grilling outside in the backyard...was a tad windy outside, and we were all glued to the TV watching the Durant news.

Cooked everything in the oven...came out pretty darn good...
