We have Roku 3 and subscribe to Netflix & Hulu. Simple to use, and lots of programs.

I have a Roku. I pay for netflix and night flight channel. I gave up on cable years ago. Pluto and shout factory are pretty cool.

My wife just picked us up a little box with a Rasberry Pie board in it... it will be interesting to see what she does with it. Interesting to see what options we have once she hooks it up.

Cool, I've heard that you can do a lot of interesting stuff with one of those. My son wants a Raspberry Pi of course!

Raspberry pi will run Kodi pretty well, especially the newest Raspberry pi 3.

Have a Roku and love it, but am also pretty taken by the Nividia Shield, which is the same principle but with way more powerful graphics and processing capabilities (think a Roklu that doubles as a lightweight gaming console) - but also has the benefit of running Android as its OS. There's pretty much nothing I can't do TV-wise between the Roku and the Shield.

In that case, Alex will have a great deal to chat with Jen about next time he sees her. Especially after seeing the prototype that was sitting on my Dining room table last month. 8)

Since Roku was so cheap it was actually a better deal for us to buy a new smart TV with Roku built in. If you already have internet your main cost is in what channels you want. I like getting You Tube on TV in high def. Not everything there is high def but it's a great free channel with tons of old Sci Fi movies and cartoons. PBS Kids and PBS are great sites to watch through Roku, we get poor TV reception for these channels so it's great to have these for the kids on Roku. ABC,NBC, & CBS all have free news channels to see a current news story you may have missed. I haven't even been able to check all the Roku channels out we've had it only for the last 4 months.
