My latest painting WIP...1/2 scale Werewolf of London!

This is a fantastic 1/2 scale bust of Henry Hull as Dr. Wilfred Glendon from 1935's "Werewolf of London"

The head is very heavy and weighs about 5 pounds. Here is is in three stages...primed, basecoated in Tamiya flesh with speckling of Testors light earth and dark tan, then shaded with pastels, charcoal and washes.

    Love WOL--under-rated.

You're off to a good start!

Yeah, looking good so far! I like Hull's look in that film. It's kind of unsettling, since it's just human enough.

Yes, he's still a little "there" under the fur and compulsion, it's a tragic depiction of the inner animal/id for the straight-laced, stuffy doctor. There's a lot of Jekyll/Hyde imagery on WOL.

Thanks Hector...I used to do commisssions, but not anymore. Simply a matter of time, between working full time, taking care of my house and doing my own stuff I just can't.

              Understandable.

I have a model in mind...22 inches tall, four pieces, not too many coloring...kinda almost white.

Have not bought it yet...this eBay seller offers it both unassembled/unpainted and completed/finished...I love the model...but I don't like how he paints them.

              But it's cool, no problem...

              Thanks, buddy...

You are a definite master when it comes to the paintbrush, Dwayne. I like how it the last picture, it looks a little like he's winking at us since you didn't have the other eye completed yet.
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Finished the eyes...I really wanted to capture the look of bloodlust and at the same time sorrow in them.
