                        Great news! I think health concerns are something we Mego collectors, most of whom where kids in the 70's, are going to have to deal with more and more. I could see a new forum board devoted to "what hurts now."

                          Well after 2 years in the hospital Im home,about 2 months ago.The after effects were kidney failure and a crippled up left hand.Im doing good though cant complain was on a ventilator for two years,lost the ability to walk due to attrophy.But I lost 300 pounds so its not all bad.All my health issues are under control.

                            You came through it, though! Perhaps over time you will learn to walk again too.

                                Been there, done that. Had my own health issues which caused a leg infection and somewhere along the line I fractured a small bone in my ankle. Used a walker for months, progressed to cane and now I keep the cane around but only really use it when I get up since it’s stiffer and don’t trust my balance just waking up. But I am walking everywhere now (cane free) even though that ankle has arthritis and sometimes lets me know. Believe me, at the time, the doctors where not optimistic about my walking again... at least without a cane or even a walker. During rehab I also re-aggravated the injury so they had that on their mind.
