Varaejo will be gone for sure, even I hated his flopping with the Warriors...I just hate flopping to no end.
Barnes is gone too...no way Warriors max his sorry Least Valuable Player arze contract...girl bye!
Bogut...I really like him, guy came back from one of the most horrendous injuries ever as a Buck...great props for coming back, and still being a defensive force. I thank his years with the Warriors...and if he was cheaper, I wouldn't mind him sticking around. But he's like the highest or second highest paid player on the roster...given his age and brittleness...if the Warriors hope to land some center (because I'm sorry, Ezeli ain't it)...Bogut will have to be considered as trade option.
Ezeli will always be a decent backup, but he is not starting center material.
I do like the bench, especially Iguodola, Livingston, and Barbosa. Spreights might be gone though. Rush is a nice utility player, but he's also tradable. The rest of the roster are expendable as well.
They need a new center...and someone to replace Barnes.
You guys are right, the days of just a pure shooting team are over...the Cavs caught up, so did Thunder, Spurs, ect. The rest are quickly catching up too.
But don't disrupt the Warriors big three, Curry, Thompson, and Green...they are just fine. But compliment them with a couple of bigs...there's no reason why they shouldn't be back in the Finals next year.
The Warriors will be a big player for years to come...Last edited by Hector; Jun 21, '16, 1:07 PM.Leave a comment:

Loved Varejao when he was in Cleveland, but always knew, much like Draymond or J. Noah, that these are the types of guys that only their city could love. Andy looked like a clown in this series. He has nothing left in the tank except the flopping and hustle.Leave a comment:

Omigod Damien. That guy drove me nuts. It's like his only move on the court was to flop. He did it so much it was like he was never upright long enough to cover anyone. Always looking at refs to see if they approved of his performance. I don't see Golden State keeping him for long. But I think the first casualty from the Warriors will be Barnes, then possibly Bogut depending on how he comes out of his injury. They will have to beef up their inside game for next year. I think the days of living off those parameters shots are over. Houston, Portland, Oklahoma, and Cleveland combined gave the Warriors the same amount of losses in the playoffs that the team collected for the entire season. THAT is a statement about how much teams have caught up to what they're doing and how to defend it (if not beat it out right). Any ideas that next year will be "business as usual" is far from accurate. The Warriors will have to fundamentally change the way they play because teams will be much more physical in their approach.Leave a comment:

you know everyone talks about LeBron this Steph that...But did you guys take a minute to think of the poor people are actually suffering because of this? Did you guys think about who's heart was hurting the most? I'll tell you who...this poor goof ha ha ha ha!! Guy gets traded mid season to the Warriors from the Cavs, takes a 3-1 lead in the finals and loses ? this guy has to be hurting.. so take a moment and send prayers his way var.jpgLeave a comment:

I don't even think The Warriors need to do much. They'll contend if they stand pat, but I'm sure they'll be some changes. Durant is the big piece this offseason. His decision is fascinating.Leave a comment:

This is true...it's all exciting for the fans...Would passive aggressive be like saying you can still smell the champagne in the locker room when you come to Cleveland for the first time after winning a title there the year before. Or maybe posting a picture of a baby bottle on social media. Not sure. I'd just call all of it gamesmanship. The Warriors rubbed it in subtly and sometimes not so subtly to everyone all year. Good for them, they had earned that right. Now, it's someone elses's turn. These guys are all competitors. I love it. It fuels the game. We need a good rivalry.Leave a comment:

Ask Damien, he'll tell you...A fake? I think he came across as pretty real for the Warriors. And for Cleveland it's been 52 years since they last had a professional sports champion. C'mon dude. You're festering on this. If you need to start hair splitting his every move, you're going to make yourself miserable.Leave a comment:

A lot of people don't know is that the Warriors are the sixth most valuable franchise in the NBA (also in TV market)...especially ever since big time player Joe Lacob took over ownership. The Bay Area is full of Silicon Valley dot comers money...and Lacob's minority owners are all hungry for a long lasting winner. So you better believe they are going to get more gunslingers next season.Leave a comment:

Being born in Cleveland, growing up 70 miles away, living in Ohio my whole life, I have been a fair weather Cleveland fan. My grandparents took me to Indians Games, I've been to a couple Browns games and one Cavs game. After being on this planet for 48.75 years, I assumed Cleveland would never win.
I am beside myself.Leave a comment:
