What Animules did you have as a kid ?

Growing up (or even today), what kind of animals did you have ?

My list ..........

1. MANY Cats
Don't get me started on cats.
I love them

2. Dogs
I had 3

3. Rabbits
Used to raise a whole lot of them

4. Chickens
Had a a whole bunch of brown egg layers

5. Chipmunk ... rescued him from my cat's jaws --- I kid you not.

6. Cow,
Not really mine, my neighbour's,
Loved that cow

7. Turtle
Raised a whole bunch of painted turtles

Oddly now, I don't have any pets and don't plan to again. My sister has 5 dogs and dozens of barn cats, it's too chaotic.

I just had fish My brother had a cool frog and some chameleons.

I loved dogs but never had one, I was (am) too lazy to get up early to walk them.

I had a dog, a couple of hamsters and some goldfish, well many fish at various times.
A garden snake or 2, a turtle, several hermit crabs, and a clam from the Great Lakes. He/she lived in a bucket on the back porch, until we got an early frost and he/she went to sleep. I have always felt guilty about not properly caring for that bloody clam.

Now we have three dogs, three ponies, and a newly acquired barncat.

Over the years I had a couple dogs (those were family pets actually, not mine per se), a hamster, a couple hermit crabs, and tons of different lizards, snakes, turtles, frogs, toads, salamanders, insects, plus a tropical fish tank. At one point, my room was practically a zoo, with an aquarium plus 4 or 5 terrariums filled with cool animals. Yes, my mother loved it, especially when my desert iguana went missing for a day (I finally found him under my bedspread!) Now we have nothing, but I'm sure that will change when my son gets older (no cats or dogs ever in the house though, I'm allergic).

Many dogs, fish, and a box turtle. Also I had a pet rock too. (spent many a day trying to teach that thing to roll over. He learned to stay real well)

A Black Persian Cat who was my protector. (Parents had to put the cat out or risk getting growled at, bit or scratched if they tried to scold me or spank me!)

A pet frog brought home from camp. Hung around the yard for 2 years!
