So many songs, just saw an interview with Peter Tork where he said he thought the Monkees had probalby the 3rd best song catalogue after the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. I think he might be right, at least among groups from the 60's anyway.Comment

"For Pete's Sake" is not just my favorite Monkees song, but one of my all time favorite songs period.

Looking over all these responses, what's really astonishing is, for a band that was so denigrated and mocked as being "fake" back in their day and for many, many years after, how many different songs from their catalogue are beloved -- and how, 50 years after the band was formed and 45 after they broke up, they can chart with a new album and hit #1 on Amazon.Comment
