I don't recall the Music Machine. I googled them and they do some good covers. The others I know -- but I didn't get to know them during the Sixties. Except for the Mysterians. Hey, I was 12 in 1969...

The Monks are insane (but do they count as "American"?--the bands tenure was spent in Germany....) I know it's a cliche, but so ahead of their time. Did you hear Dave Day just passed away a few months ago?

And Joe90, I dig the Monkees, too--especially Head, the soundtrack to their movie of the same name. That record rules.
