    Quite a life well lived...

    My Dad was a huge fan in the 70s and I'm afraid it left a permanent stain on my aesthetic. Redheaded Stranger is one of two albums I know all the words to. (The Wall is the other. Guess I like concept albums...)

      Hey don't be ashamed of being a Willie fan. My parents listened to a lot of country, and for some reason I gravitated toward "The Highwaymen" and Outlaw movement. I couldn't stand country music as a teen and young adult, but I recently rediscovered good country like Willie, Waylon and Cash. Willie's got the goods. He trancends genres. Of course he trancends a lot smoking all that pot...

      Serioulsy, the term "living legend" gets thrown around a lot, but with Willie it's just a fact.

                      My parents used to listen to Bluegrass music if you want to talk about music. I'm talking about the twangy hillbilly stuff. I've been messed up ever since.

                      Willie Nelson still alive and kicking at 75...that's great. He's such an icon that anyone wearing a braided gray wig with a bandana around the head would almost immediately be identified with him.
