I watched the Trip(1967) last night and it was a trip. Alot of 1967-71 films were the product of idealism and heavy usage. Which ones do you dig?

Hippie movie could be a wide variety of movies. I liked Up in Smoke a lot. Some would throw it out as a comedy or parody. I love Endless Summer. Many would toss this as a surfer movie, but to me it is the ultimate realization of hippie (sans drugs). -

I liked Easy Rider. But actually, remembering them as a small child, I will watch any that come along. Interesting period in time. Recently, I saw, I Love You, Alice B. Toklas, which shows the insane genius of Peter Sellers. I remember watching Breezy with my wife and that was a good flick that also had an aging William Holden in it. Lots of good ones out there if you look. Crazy time and I vaguely remember it because i was a baby then.Comment

I Drink Your Blood (1970) is a lot of fun.
Billy Jack (1971)
Dragnet 1967 (TV Series 1967–1970) had some of the very best hippie stories. Total anti-youth culture propaganda at it's finest.Comment

Amazing topic!
"Head" (1968) I love everything about this crazy movie and I've seen it a few times.
"Candy" (1968), which is a horrible horrible movie, and not even easy to watch, but I almost like it for how terrible it is - and the music is legitimately amazing
"Barbarella" (1968), jeez, I'm only coming up with movies from the same year.Comment

"in Search of America" - Jeff Bridges (1971). A made for TV movie that explores the hippie ideals in a very cliche and derivative tale of the movement that was actually on it's way out when this was released. But for all of it's obvious stereotypes, its a fairly intriguing film to watch given it's cast and the messaging in play for it's day. A very dated but interesting snapshot of philosophy in it's time.Comment

I want to say "Two Lane Blacktop", but it's early in the morning and ill probably think if a glaring example, later. "Billy Jack" would certainly be way up there on my list.
