    Which one you prefer?

I custom ordered a drop in Santa Maria grill...it will go on top of a masonry build.

I ordered a 36x24 cranked wheel with a stainless steel free floating rod grate...just like this one...

Once on a masonry...it will look something like this (still not sure if I'm going with brick, stone, or even concrete blocks, to be determined)...

Now here's where I need opinions.

I'm fine leaving it as is...meaning, no metal artwork decorations on top of the grill frame. but this company (JD Fabrications) makes custom decorative artwork for the grills too...and I'm sort of tempted, but perhaps it's silly...I dunno.

You guys like that stand alone look? Or a decoration?

    A couple of examples:

    Heck, even a 3-D one...

I played with my Illustrator program...and put together two contenders...South Park & T-Rex...

I really like both...South Park is hilarious...I'm sure it will be a great conversation piece...but the T-Rex kind goes better with the theme of meats.

I might not even go with a decorative artwork...plain one looks fine...but kinda curious what you guys think.

    Thanks for looking!

I like the decorated ones, but instead of going with a pop culture style, if I were you i'd find a nice Aztec design showing off your Mexican pride.

I'd go w/o the artwork. Take the extra cash and use it to buy more food to grill Between the 2 I like the classic look too. Sometimes simple is best but really it's what you like.

I like the decor. Could you get the Superman logo? That's your favorite! And then invite me over for a BBQ!

I breathe red, white, and blue...the only Mexican I like are food and tequila...

I do like their national soccer team...but nah, I'd rather have something like the Raiders or Niners.

Besides, I'm a mutt, not only indigenous, but Spanish and Lebanese too. Now you got me thinking about getting that DNA ancestry thing, lol...

I don't think I have much Aztec leftover in me, I've never seen a 6' 2" Aztec before...

I thought about it, but the narrow base would look a bit awkward on top of the grill...too much free space on the bottom sides...

The classic look without decoration would be easier to cover during the rain...

Perhaps a Freddy Krueger claw, so you can pop sausages on each blade.
A chainsaw, Leatherface was a butcher.
The head of Pinhead, and "Welcome to Hell" added...nice and toasty....
