    Kobe's last game

He's 7-20 and has 22 points at the half. The Lakers are down by 15. With twenty minutes left in his career, anyone think he'll try for 50? I say why not?

Boy Steve, you called it! 60 points and a win in his final game.

Yeah, Kobe was cool and all...but let's get real here, 50 attempts? Of course he was bound to score 60, lol. You let Curry do that, he'll score 100, lol.

Six 3 pointers (10-18) in the first quarter, cruises to 46 points, and doesn't even play in the fourth.

Soon to be two-time MVP, might be even the first unanimous one ever (maybe Westbrook will get a couple of nods)...recording setting 402 3 pointers for the season (breaking his own, Thompson is second with 276 3 pointers) and leading scorer at 30.1...little skinny dude is the man now, sorry LeBron...

        But yeah, good for Kobe...

The Warriors game, on ESPN, scored a 2.6 overnight rating, making it the highest-rated NBA regular-season game on ESPN (except for Christmas Day games) since 2014. (Regular season NBA games typically score a 1.3 overnight rating on ESPN.) Even more impressive: the Lakers game, on ESPN2, notched a 2.6 overnight rating, making it the highest-rated NBA regular-season game ever on ESPN2.

BUT YES, kobe's is more impressive because ESPN2 is the smaller network of flagship ESPN.

          Either way, ESPN/ESPN2...both big winners.

I was really afraid that he was going to Willie Mays his last game, which is why I waited to tune in until the second half. Everyone in the building knew the ball was going to Kobe in the fourth and he still outscored the entire Jazz team. It was nice to see him go out on a high note after the last few years of both him and the Lakers being unwatchable. His shooting percentage has been awful all year, this was actually one of his better games from that perspective. If we're both still kicking around here Hector let's see what Curry's doing when he's 37:-)

Well, for one thing...Curry will NEVER be in 18 All Star games like Kobe. You see, Curry went to college...

Wonder what he'll do next? TV analyst? Lakers front office? maybe coach some point down the road?
maybe a Lakers scout? God only knows they need talent, this once proud franchise is at rock bottom.

I watched it knowing full well that my Purple and Gold have been a VERY VERY HARD WATCH these past couple of years, That Performance was nothing short of SPETACULAR!!! it might have been hard to get a feel early on how this would turn out and with Utah pulling away at halftime it looked like Scott Kobe and the Lakers would deviate from the playing time plan that was mapped out at the Start... but thank God they didn't, they stuck with the plan and Like all players who have been touched by the Gods Kobe put together a final quarter and Final Game that Legend is born from. Kobe... Sorry... Mamba OUT!!!
