No doubt on the Flyers. I am a Flyers fan but i can admit they are over matched. But the last 2 games are what makes the hockey playoffs like no other. A team can ride a hot goalie. Heck they only had 11 shots, but that fluke goal to give them the lead was huge. Now they go back to Philly for game 6, home ice and fans. You know Washington has a bad history of choking in the playoffs. Half the game is all mental, and the Flyers are in their head for sure. What a series that NYI and Fla is. Man they were beating the crap out of each other last night. Every hit into the boards had a little something extra on it. Whoever comes out of that series will be sore and beat up for the next round. What a sport eh Duncan?

Not really a hockey fan, but was rooting for the Sharks...since they are a Bay Area team.

Nice job Penguins, although what happend in game 5 ? could have celebrated on home ice
but regardless, nice turnaround to win game 6 well deserved congrats.

Game six was an awesome game. With the exception of the final result. I am not a Penguins fan at all. But what a game. Clean hits and some amazing skill from several different players. Jones in goal for the Sharks made some incredible saves. It was everything you would expect from the final game. The tribute to Gordie Howe choked me up a bit. I was lucky to see 3 games in 1980. His last year in the league and as member of the Hartford Whalers. Playing with 2 of his sons. It was a big deal for the state of Connecticut. It was the only professional sports team the state has ever had.
Anyway, for my fellow hockey lovers, at least this year we only have to wait 2 1/2 months for hockey to return as we have the world cup of hockey in September.
