    Your individual food staples

We all have staples that we buy when we grocery shop: milk, eggs, butter, cereal, etc. But I was wondering what some of your favorites that might not be so typical. What are some food items you positively HAVE to have in the house, whether it's for comfort or convenience? Here are some of mine:

Walgreen's (Nice) frozen cheeseburgers . These things are 2 for $2 and are great when you want a hot lunch, but don't wanna go to McDs or something.

Trader Joe's Mini Chicken Tacos. Just give me a bunch of these w/ some sour cream, and i'm happy.

Trader Joe's frozen Breaded chicken tenderloin breasts. Great by themselves or w/ a meal.

Totino's Frozen Pizza. For my Friday Pizza Night.

That's only a few, but you get the idea.

So what are your personal food staples?
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

I cannot and will not live without limes...gotta have limes at all times...use it for everything, food, salads, soups, fruits, beer, etc, ...even by themselves with a little bit of sea salt. I have my own key lime tree...it keeps me happy most of the year...as it seems to grow limes almost non stop. But the times my trees has none...I buy them...gotta have them...or I'll die, lol.

Tomatoes, onions, serrano peppers, garlic, cilantro (and of course limes)...as I'm constantly making salsa at home.

              Avocados...no explanation needed, lol.

Tortillas, hey, blame my parents, ha...I like to make my own tostadas...fry tortillas in olive oil...top them with my homemade salsa...avocado to finish it off...man...delicious would be an understatement.

Coke Zero...always have Coke Zero, either plain or cherry.

              Gatorade 2, gotta have G2.

Trader Joe's tuna cans...way better tasting than either Starfish or Chicken of the Sea.

Not much into frozen packaged foods...about the most essential to me are frozen blueberries for my smoothies.

Sourdough bread...gotta have my sourdough bread. French baguette too.

Peanut butter...love the stuff...Skippy, Jiff, Peter Pan, it's all good. Lately I've been buying an organic saltless one at a local health food store (the Food Mill)...it's delicious...my doggies love it too...and that's the only peanut butter I give them, because it has no salt...but for me...I always add a little bit of sea salt to my own personal servings. BTW, I like peanut butter on regular good ol white bread. A tad of fruit spread, blueberry being my favorite.

Summer is coming...I become a true carnivore...grilling season, meat, meat, and more meat...

...and of course, beer...I mostly drink light beer nowadays...

Hec we're a bit of the same. I've always got to have on hand limes, jalapenos, cilantro, avocados, green onions, bananas, steel cut oatmeal, cream of wheat and crunchy peanut butter (has the be extra crunchy).

                    I guess mine are:

sweet potatoes...what's better than sweet potatoes?
clear Karo syrup...I like it on pancakes but I may be the only one in the world who does.
Cholula hot sauce...I have others that come and go, but this is my favorite.
Nutritional yeast flakes...Stay with me here! It sounds awful, but it's really good sprinkled on popcorn.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

Happy to see all the love for Trader Joe's.

Their Tuna Salad Wrap and Cubano Wrap are what I rotate for lunch at work.

Oh dear, how could I have forgotten Cholula? I have several different kinds of hot sauces, but Cholula is indeed the house favorite, so much in fact, that the little bottles are just not enough...so I went ahead and bought this monster off Amazon...

Notice the Cazadores tequila bottle in the background, also a staple...but obviously only consumed in moderation, ha...
