Has anyone used an online or catalog auction house before?

Has anyone here ever sold anything through an online or catalog auction service before? I'm talking about Hakes, or Heritage in particular. Any others of that sort? Not Ebay please!
    If so, any comments?

I sold to Hakes in the past -- (not for auction, just directly to Ted)

I remember him giving me top dollar on a Laurel and Hardy set of banks.... few other things too.

Threw a few phone bids down on his auctions in the early 90's but never won any.

Got out of it when the internet took over.

I've dealt with Heritage and Rago.

As for Heritage the whole process was very easy and they were very attentive and prompt in communication.

I dealt with Hakes a few years ago, in helping out a friend with some rare theatre memorabilia he had collected, including some signed posters and such. The whole process was pretty straightforward, but the end sales weren't as good as he expected them to be.
I wonder if Heritage is a better choice for such items.
