RIP Keith Emerson of Emerson, Lake, and Palmer.

This first quarter of the year has been devastating musically. Amazing keyboardist Keith Emerson passes away after a single gunshot wound to the head. Possible suicide if TMZ can be believed. RIP Keith.

so damn tragic. too many greats have been lost this year, and most of them far too young. RIP!

Wow, another great 60s band member lost. Sorry to learn this. RIP

I always think of this when a great is lost from this era.

RIP. Such an amazing talent. "Tarkus" is my favorite ELP song. 20 minutes of beautiful, self-indulgent, geeky goodness.

Sad news. ELP have been favorites of mine since childhood, and I still regularly play their albums.
They are "bold" musicians, always ready for a challenge, trying all kinds of genres, long tracks,...
I miss their inventiveness in modern music, you rarely see "the charts" feature this kind of experimental music anymore. When I grew up, you heard their music on the radio all the time. When did you last hear ELP (or anything close to it) on the radio these days?
Goodbye, Keith, you were truly gifted.

One of my favorites: turn it up.

They just do not make music like this any more.

Very grateful to have seen ELP live in the past. Keith was an incredible talent, and a huge influence on many musicians. Sorry to hear of him passing, especially under such awful circumstances :(
