The holy Grail of All movie posters

Some estimate it's value at over 5 million.
Metropolis is a masterpiece and the poster isn't a letdown. Fritz's other well regarded film M isn't too shabby as well.

Since I deal in vintage posters for a living for the last 12 years, I can shed some light on this.

The U.S. three sheet sold for $1.2 million. We are very well acquainted with both the seller Ken Schacter, and the buyer Ralph Deluca. I could tell some stories, but I won't. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes with this type of stuff.

The most expensive poster ever sold...we believe, was the Frankenstein six sheet which was sold privately. It allegedly sold for much more.

Very cool. What a blessing to be able to support your family with a hobby you're into.

Again I'm not a poster expert but it's not hard to imagine how rare this poster is or how many were lost during WW2, etc.

I would compare it to Action Comics #1, so if you find it at a garage sale you probably pick it up.
