Still a fan. Started with WWWF around 1977, then WWF & NWA in the '80s, ECW & WWE in the '90s, WWE in the '00s, and today it's mainly WWE & RoH. I got my daughter hooked on it too, so I have an built-in excuse to go see live shows. She and I sat in the front row of a RoH show, and in the back floor row nearest the stage of a WWE show. I took the wife to an ECW show around 2000, but she wasn't really interested.Comment

When I was in grade school, the old-time stuff (broadcast here as "Wrestling at the Chase"). The wrestlers I remember fondly are all the guys like Dick the Bruiser, Bobo Brazil, Fritz Von Erich, the Invader . . . Back when it was all still supposed to be real . . .Comment

I was fairly into it in the 80s. I could only ever find WWF on TV, so I'd grab the odd magazine here or there to keep up with the other guys. It saddens me to see how most of the guys I grew up watching have died. The only knowledge I have now comes from buying the figures to steal the parts for customs.Comment

Loved the WWF in the late 80s and early 90s... favourites were the Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, Legion of Doom, Randy Savage, Davey Boy Smith, Brett Hart, Demolition, etc.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

I use to watch back in the late 80s. I remember in the early days of Fox,the Syracuse station would air wrestling on Saturday nights. They would start off with WWF,then air stuff like GLOW,AWA and some of the smaller promotions then end around 4 in the morning with NWA. Not sure why they waited so late to show guys like Ric Flair.Comment

Late 70's until early 2000's I was a huge into wrestling. Once WWF/WWE bought out the competition (WCW/ECW) I tuned out until a year or so ago. I've got the WWE network but haven't been that into it lately. I watch as much PWG as I can and listen to a lot of podcasts (Steve Austins, Jim Ross's, and Flairs are a few favorites).Comment

I have been a wrestling fan since the late 70's. I have collected wrestling figures since the 1st Remco AWA figs hit and the WWF LJN ones. I still collect the figures today. I go through streaks as far as watching. I'll quit for a while, but i always end up coming back.Comment

Wrestling isn't entertaining to me at all. Some of my best friends are huge fans. Sometimes I think I kinda get what they love about it from talking to them, but when I try to watch it frankly makes absolutely no sense to me. Must be like when most people see my toy collection and wonder what's going on in my brain to want this crap around me.
I do like some of the personalities from wrestling though. Andre The Giant is just an interesting guy, and I love him in The Princess Bride. I thought some of the Cindi Lauper videos were fun. I also like Rowdy Roddy Piper, from his movies. "Beyond the Mat" was a great documentary. I think Dwayne Johnson has become a really good entertainer and even a pretty decent actor.Comment

i met a lot of wrestlers back in the mid to late eighties when I was into it. but none o the really big names. got a lot of autographs back then, Mean Gene, Cpt. Lou Albano, Bruno Sanmartino, lots of others. thing is as an adult none of means anything to me because I grew out of it and found wrestling to be boring. I think they also changed a lot over the years so that it became less about fun and more about exploitationComment

I don't follow Wrestling shows but I do have vivid memories of the very good old days when I was a kid watching the local and American wrestling shows on TV. The Baron von Raschke, King Kong Bundy, the Von Erich bros., Andre the Giant, and the Hulkster! When they started showing Wrestling on free TV in here in the 90's and 00's I do remember watching the WWF, triple H, the Big Show, Kurt Angle, and plain clowns like The Rock and Stone Cold. When McMahon bought the other assoc. it was awesome to see Triple H against Booker T. I had lots of fun with the wrestling shows!
When I was a freshman I do remember going out with a buddy one Friday night to our favorite bar. We picked up a couple of nice girls and spent the night in their place, partied ALL Saturday long, and woke up Sunday afternoon beside these babes to watch a four-hour Wrestling marathon in bed. The parents of one of the girls (the owners of the place) were out in the coast. One of the greatest weekends evercan't believe it's been almost two decades!
Other than that, I can't be the only one who had the hots for Stephanie McMahon, am I!?Comment
