    People vs OJ

Anyone watching this? Started it today. Travolta is great. Everyone is actually. And it's not coming off cheesy like most docu-dramas do. -Chris

It's great so far. I'm surprised how much of it I remember from back then. Everything was played out through the media. Nowadays we're so used to it, but back then it was crazy how much both sides used the media to present their cases, and manipulate the public.

Yeah, it's crazy how I remember exactly where I was every time they play the real footage of the "chase" broadcasts.

My g/f and I were trying to reconcile and I went over to her apt for dinner. Then the chase happened and it was all down hill from there.

Travolta is in my top 3 fave actors of all time and I think he's been the best so far.

One of my friends still thinks OJ is totally innocent, bringing up this show last weekend brought forth an odd conversation.

Oh, he did it. There's no question. The prosecution just made really bad decisions, and the defense worked some crazy voodoo. Just goes to show how flimsy a concept "justice" is.

Cuba Gooding was miscast as OJ. Too short, and his voice is too whiny. However, after a while, you kinda accept him...and move on. Travolta is really good as previously mentioned. So is the Cochran actor. The Marcia Clark actress is dead on as well.

The one who comes across as the most pathetic lame character is the Friends dude playing the Kardashian patriarch...I just wanna punch him in his stupid pathetic face, lol. I also cringe every time they feature the Kardashian girls, good grief. Why, God, why, lol.

Other than that, I'm enjoying the show.

I've been watching it and enjoying it. Great performances all around. I too could do with less Kardashian kids. There really is no need for them in this at all. Just the producers choice to play the hot hand so to speak.

Back at the time, I thought his son was guilty and OJ was throwing the suspicion onto himself, his son is as big as he is
and doesn't look all to bright, even today I still have my suspicions about the son.

Funny story that is related. I don't know how many of you knew or remember that David Hasselhoff was a big singer back in the day. He was huge overseas, but never could really gain any traction over here. He and his manager finally landed a big gig over here in the US and promoted the crap out of it. It was going to be broadcast live and everyone felt this was finally going to be where he made it big time in the US. Concert starts, he gives it his all, puts on the show of a lifetime. Show ends, crowd is going nuts, he runs backstage to see if any there was any buzz on the air about the show... drum roll please... he finds everyone backstage glued to the set with the OJ, white Bronco saga going on. Nobody saw his concert cause everyone in the US was watching the OJ drama. He gave it up after that.

I haven't watched the show, but it looks interesting. I remember coming home from either work or a date, and my Mom sitting right in front of the TV. I asked "What are you watching?" She told me O. J. Simpson had supposedly killed his wife and was running from the cops. I asked "The football guy? Nordberg?". You don't get much more surreal than that.

Some good casting choices. Well written, too.

Most of the cast members are a lot like the real people but the guy they cast as Mark Fuhrman doesn't look or act like him at all.
