Here's some new albums I've enjoyed:

 Here Lies Man - S/T
It's got a groovy fuzzy Sabbath vibe:

Future Islands - The Far Field
I haven't listened to this one a ton yet, but I dig it.
(This isn't from their new album, but this is the amazing performance that broke them for most people)

 Thundercat - Drunk
 Crazy bass based prog-soul-jazz madness

 Ty Segall - S/T
 As always, solid fuzzy rock

 Vagabon - Infinite Worlds
Folky rock - man oh man, that voice!

Oh yeah - and this should be nowhere near a "new artists" thread, but I've been almost ridiculously and shamefully obsessed with the Lindsey Buckingham/Christine McVie album. Essentially a new Fleetwood Mac album, but without Nicks. It's equal parts old people singing silly love song lyrics way too seriously, and super candy coated pop hooks, and I absolutely love it. If you love Rumors as much as I do then you might want to give it a shot.Comment

Heh, yeah i guess that was kind of my bias bubbling through. I'm not an 80s keyboard aficionado but if you are, modern music is wonderland for you

It really is! I've essentially bought the same album three times but i'm really fond of the studio album. I think they're going to take off soon.
Oh me too, my record collection is 50% Grrl stuff. I also caught my daughter attempting to cover "Louder in Outer Space" the other day, so I'm super fond of them.

Oof, i forgot all about it to be honest. I'll add it to the pile with your other suggestions. I love the description of Ty Segall as "Fuzzy", I really enjoy his work.By the way - what do you think of the new Jesus and Mary Chain? I was so excited for it to come out, but then it did and I'm ashamed to say I haven't given it a full listen yet.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

I don't really get any new music that's been currently played on FM stations. Or I'd say that, pretty much as it happened with his father the last four decades I think anything that Enrique Iglesias puts out is top notch. But I don't know if kids think he is an old performer yet? Anyway, there is one song that really took me by surprise recently. I was listening to the radio while driving a couple of weeks ago, and I started trying to remember what was the band? And then I checked the internet and found out it was a brand new single record by a Canadian band called Arcade Fire. The song is "Everything Now" and sounded like something from the early 80's. So odd!
