RIP Maurice White - Founder of Earth, Wind, & Fire

Another legend lost to eternity. What a great musician and composer. He'll be sorely missed.

We are definitely brothers from another mother. EWF is one of my favorite bands and that is my favorite tune of theirs by far. Philip Bailey had one of the best voices in the history of the music industry. Maurice will be missed. Funny story (and please don't take this in any way as a prejudice. I am the least prejudiced person you will ever meet) - I surprised my wife with tickets to an EWF concert in Harrisburg, PA about 18 years ago. The concert was on Easter Sunday and our daughter had just been born so our son was about 6. He wanted to come long so I got another ticket. We get into the the venue and look around and it's my wife, my son, myself, 2 white guys sitting next to us... and 5000 black people in the Forum waiting for the show to start. And we had a fantastic time. Great show.

One of my top-five all time favorite bands. Could listen to their music for hours and not get bored.

EWF was such a great all time band, many hits and I'll always remember the song Boogie Wonderland from the
movie Caddyshack, a favorite band of mine, RIP Maurice.
