USPS apparently using time travel now...

So...my two day priority mail package which was supposed to be delivered on February 2nd was mis-routed and just arrived in Cleveland an hour ago. So, I may still get it today or tomorrow.

Luckily, they updated my scheduled delivery day to...wait for it...YESTERDAY.

I'm tempted to get dressed, and run out to the mailbox just to see if there's some flaming tire tracks next to it.

LOL...USPS tracking. Why do they even bother?

I understand your cynicism well Dwayne. USPS lost a package coming to me (with tracking) from the very receiving hub it was suppose to ship out from. The best part? It took me weeks to find anyone who would even consider looking for it. The sad part? They asked me what was in it (like that would help them in the search). Finally a person in their consumer affairs division told me to forget about it. Apparently all lost packages go to some giant "heap" in Atlanta so the possibility of finding it was considered next to impossible. Nice system. They screw up, they essentially throw it out with the garbage. Fortunately it was a $20 item that was replaced by the company shipping it. So "tracking" and delivery guarantees at USPS are very loose terms. Yes, it works up to a point. But when the system fails, they hide and don't make any effort to look for it. That's why they encourage insurance, so they can haggle over just paying for it and forget about looking at all.

I once sold some items to a Spanish collector. Sent them with tracking. They got lost, and when I asked what happened, the answer was "tracking means nothing, they get lost all the time." A month later, it arrived at its destination. For over eight months after that, I still got e-mails from the Postal Service saying "they were still actively looking for my package".

Just imagine if those same people were to work for NASA.
      "The Mars rocket's gone missing!"
      "Who cares..."

Matt Damon wouldn't have had a chance...

The USPS has been the 2ND BIGGEST RUNNING JOKE in our FEDERAL Govt system... and Because we do not discuss Politics I will omit what the first is lol

Wait for it... Wait for it... and this in from the People at USPS themselves as I myself and others have been told this Personally... 2 day priority is really not 2 day priority It is more like 5 day... ARE YOU KIDDING ME... so your telling me I am paying a premium service for a service that may be there anywhere from 2 to 5 days!!! Oh and has anyone noticed that they Raised their rates!

I'm not even going to go into the Weekly horror stories of dealing with my local Post office... Downright Disgraceful...

and back to the morning coffee lol
