Griffith Observatory is a lot of fun too,and in Griffith Park you have Bronson Canyon, where a lot of tv shows and moveis have filmed. The classic Batmobile outta the Batcave? Part of that filmed there. Lot's of Trek and numerous other shows too. Easier to get to than Vasquez Rocks, but if you can get to VR too it's a really cool place. Been there twice, great fun!
Comic stores I usually frequent whenever I'm in L.A. are Golden Apple,Meltdown and Hi De Ho. And for classic toys it's some of what DS mentioned,Blast from the Past and Big Kid especially!
Yeah, Amoeba is awesome. I'm a movie nut, I just love wandering around in Hollywood. And the Beverly Hills bus tour is fun. Hope you're having a good time Ed!
So,you gonna give us an update on how your trip was? lol! Did you make it to any of the places and stores suggested here? Hope you at least made it to Blast from the Past and Big Kid,two really good stores for vintage toys and stuff. Big Kid even has vintage candy! lol! And I did forget to suggest Rocket Fizz,I think, but aren't they in a lot of locations across the US? I usually go to the one in Burbank and the one in Portland, have also gone by one in Raleigh. FUN! Wish there were one in New York too.
