Have You Ever Sold A Line/Toy That You Really Didn't Want To

I need to trim down the collection and I'm starting with the newer lines. I started gathering up my loose Marvel Legends figures (the packaged figures were sold about 5 years ago) for pictures. And there are a lot. I pretty much have most of them since they began back in 2002 until Hasbro took over the line. I know they weren't everyone's cup of tea, but for me, their articulation made them fun to pose and display. I also love how deep they went into the Marvel character pool- Black Knight, Moon Knight, Deathlok... even hairy-vested 60's Marvel Frankenstein.

As I gather them up, I'm reminded how much I really like these guys. Heavy sigh. But alas, they must go. I can the MiniMates starting to sweat.

I sold a few of my childhood collections to fund wrestling convention trips. The only one I really miss is Masters of the Universe. I had a lot of fun with them, and kept them in great condition, but then I think that they would just be in boxes and I'd never really look at them, so it's better off.

Marvel Legends for me, too. I had em all! 2002 Toy Biz thru 2009 Hasbro. Had 2 of each Series 1-9. Even Giant Man wave! Don't know why I sold my entire ML collection on a whim. Worst mistake I made selling an action figure collection.

I have collected 36 Marvel Select 7" figures and I like them better than the ML figures. I have about a dozen NEW Hasbro ML since 2013 which tie iin with the movie, the comic book versions.

$20 is too high for a 6" figure. Remember when Toy Biz ML were $7 each and came with a diorama or BAF piece AND a COMIC BOOK?! *sigh*

I sold my vintage Madelman collection, over a hundred case fresh boxed ones. Only paid $5 a piece when a toy store closed and cleaned out its basement. Made a nice profit, selling them at costx15.
Never knew how rare they were until a couple of years later. I could have bought a house with what they were really worth.

Posing them for pictures is making it even harder to sell these guys. C'mon, how fun is this? BTW, for those of you who reached out about buying some of these, I'm taking pictures now. If you want to make an offer, I'll sell them first come, first serve.

Shazam pictured on the box, with correct yellow boots and custom white cape with gold trim, wish I had that one back,
wish I could remember who I got the sculpt from? I could make another.

I regret selling my carded Invisible Girl and the AHI captain America stunt cycle. (since I haven't seen one before or since)

I was a big ML fan when they first came out, I loved Doom and especially Namor with issue #67. Wish I picked up series 3 Ghost Rider.
I remember Toy Liquidators had the last couple waves of the toy biz series 3/$9.99. Now Legends figures cost $19.99 a piece.

I sold off most of my childhood GI Transformers and GI Joe RAH figures at a yard sale when I was 13/14. Immediately after, I decided to start collecting toys. Sigh.

I needed to replace my A/C unit about 11 years ago. I sold a complete set of vintage 12 backs (Star Wars as if you needed to know).

Even though I'm nice and cool in the Georgia summer, I get a sick feeling every time I think about it.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

Few years ago had to sell all my Dr Who figures.

Didn't want to - but ya gotta do what ya gotta do....

Sold my entire Gi-Joe 82-88 collection. I got paid really well but it was a massive collection that i was only able to display about half. I had over 20 hiss tanks as they were one of my favs. Never did have the aircraft carrier, but just about everything else. Still hurts when i think about them. I can't complain about how much i sold the stuff for as i got top dollar. I am extremely picky in toy condition when i collect.
