We have an annual Superbowl party. Looking forward to this one. This game can play out in so many ways. If this season has taught me something it's that ANYTHING is possible. I can see an upset by Denver and I can see a blowout by Carolina. If Denver's defense can keep it close, I give the edge to the Broncos. If Denver gets behind early, I don't think Manning and that offense are built to erase too big a deficit. But I do think the tone will be set early. If it becomes a defensive affair, I think we could get a good finish. If Panthers figure out the Denver defense early, it could be a long night. But I think either way we'll pretty much know by the end of the first quarter how this will play. I'm rooting for the underdog Broncos. Cam has been too emotional in getting prepped for this game. I can see him getting frustrated if the big plays don't come early. Never count out defensive coordinator Wade Phillips and that Bronco D. He's the best in the business.

It's tough when (your) team is not in it, but I guess we've been spoiled, just wish we had 2 bowl games back (thanks Giants)
a friend of mine usually has a super bowl party, just hope this years game is not a blow out and the weather around these parts
holds up, supposed to be getting about 8 inches of wet snow tomorrow and more over the weekend, nothing like driving home around
      10:00pm in the snow.

Been here in Colorado for 11 years now and I love rooting for the Broncos!

Lets hope the Broncos learned their lessons from the Seattle beating

Every Bill Belicek Patriots super bowl could have gone either way save for maybe the Eagles game. Count your blessing they got 4/6. Especially last year.

In previous years, I'd go to a Super Bowl party with the fellas.

But nowadays, not much into big parties and getting all involved watching the game.

Today, I prefer a nice quiet relaxed viewing at home (no guests), enjoying some salsa/guacamole/tortilla chips, pizza and beer.

Cam Newton comparing himself to being the LeBron of football was just plain silly.

Love or hate LeBron, aside from his two titles, multiple MVPs, which Newton has none of those as of yet, LeBron is an international star, as basketball is a global sport, second most popular team sport after soccer. The NBA is far more popular around the world than the NFL. Yes, the NFL is king in America, but not at the world stage. Take a poll around the world, ask sports people in general who they prefer, and I'll guarantee, they will say, LeBron For when you mention Cam Newton to them, they'll go, uh? Who is that? LeBron is as recognizable as soccer stars Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo around the world. Cam Newton is an American star, not a global one.

BTW, I'm going with the Broncos to pull the upset...I think their defense is much more dominant than the Panther's...I think Manning will shine...and shut Mr Cam "Ego" Newton down...

^^^^ I wish just for Peyton to go out a winner but I think Carolina's defense is just too much. Hope I'm wrong

As a serious passionate NBA fan. Lebron is already a top 15 player with the potential to be top 8.
To say he is second to only Jordan and KAJ is an insult to Bird, Magic,Duncan, Russell,Wilt,Shaq,Hakeem, Kobe,West, etc

Really? come on man those guys are great no doubt..But after Jordan and KAJ and Shaq I don't think those guys would even come close to LBj in today's game..Today's athletes are just superior in every way of the game...they've evolved Just like in 30 years they'll be even better. But LBj is a freak , and his stats speak for themselves..he's on pace to pass most records by the time he's set and done. Ask any NBA expert if they had to take 1 player to build around who would it be? and he'd come in top 3 or 4 on every list. I can't stand him now, but he's the best in the NBA and he's been the best for a while

Wilt was every bit of a athlete as Lebron and was 7'1 and had better fundamentals. Lebron is also 2/6 in the finals compared to Curry who may very well be 2/2 after this year's finals.

Lebron hasn't picked up a football so lets not get sidetracked.

Anyway if Denver wins it will go down as the biggest upset in History and if Hector picked them, Carolina is a lock

Wilt Chamberlin is the greatest basketball player ever.

Call me when LeBron James scores 100 without dunking. Or when he averages 30 pts and 22 boards for his career.

                              Bill Russell has 11 titles.

Call me when LeBron has 12. Or even 4.

Bird and Magic transcended the game more than any duo in the history of any sport.

Call me when LeBron changes the way people talk about the NBA. Other than who he doesn't like or who he's having fired next.

                              He's not even top 15...

                              Woof.

Correction...he USED to be the best...

Don't get me wrong, LeBron can still be dominant, just not nearly as frequent, he's getting older, like Charles Barkeley loves to say...Father Time is undefeated. LeBron is still scary, but not nearly as scary as just last season.

Curry is the perfect example that you don't have to be the biggest, fastest, nor most gifted athlete to dominate...

Curry is gonna score 80 points one day, I'm sure of that...the dude is a human video game. He plays pretty good D too. The scary part is that he's not a limited spot up shooter, he creates his own three point shots...and can drive to the basket...the skinny little dude is a phenom, one of a kind, once a generation...probably a mutant if you ask me, lol.
